Thoughts Reflection

The Journey

Can you do what you truly desire? Can you free yourself from the way you have learned to think? Can you move beyond the comfort zone that others have created for their (in)security? These are some of the questions that initially demanded answers as I navigated through the unfamiliar terrain of professional redirection, seeking to understand my essence and purpose.

A new reality welcomed me, without an answer. Initially, only surprises succeeded one another, and in front of me I had a whole new world. A world that had come to reintroduce itself to me. To reflect upon me its insecurities, deadlocks, and weaknesses.

The approach I received always had the same characteristics. These of indiscriminateness and feigned interest. I would say it is the foreign and exploitative familiarity which is usually used by all those who hesitate to confront themselves. Those who try to ideologically validate their existence through the lives of others.

You may now question how a choice concerning one’s professional path can trigger significant transformations in social and personal connections. However, such an impact is indeed feasible in the context of a Greek middle-class mindset saturated with the syndromes of societal approval, latent inferiority complexes, and a prevailing culture of mediocrity.

Reflection…

For as long as I sought answers in factors beyond myself or expected help from a “god from the machine,” I increasingly came face to face with who I am and what I want.

Daily contemplation and recording of thoughts led me step by step to recognize my emotions, understand my capabilities, and activate experiential learning.

As I explored myself with sincerity, the less I needed to introduce myself in terms of who I am and what I do. The sluggish movement of things gradually gained flow and direction. The one I desired.

Every response emerged as a new realm of revelation, propelling me towards the subsequent one. Each inquiry, to put it differently, begot another, delving even deeper. I often liken this journey to the gradual unpeeling of an onion, with numerous layers veiling their own potency, evoking tears as we draw nearer to its essence.

Values and Principles

In moments of weakness and discouragement, I returned to the foundations that define me. I examined my actions according to my beliefs, my ideals, and the life stance I follow. It is my personal compass that guides me to the answers I seek!

“Thought ‘patterns’ are the mindset you’ve acquired from the influences and experiences you’ve had. They shape you subconsciously and disorient you.”
